- U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command intends to award a sole source procurement to Eaton Electrical, Inc, 8609 Six Forks Rd, Raleigh, NC 27615, pursuant to the authority of 10 USC 2304(c) as implemented by FAR Parts 6.3, 12 and 13.501(a) Sole Source Acquisitions. The award will be made for a one (1) year annual maintenance on the Powerware Uninterrupted Power System equipment at Fort Detrick, MD. Period of performance for the annual maintenance will be 23 Jun 09 through 22 Jun 10. There is only responsible source and no other services will satisfy the agency requirements. Initial UPS purchase was made from Power Protection Unlimited (formerly known as Powerware). Power Protection is the exclusive authorized representative for Eaton Electrical. Eaton Electrical maintains the warranty and services. A justification for Other than Full and Open Competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
