- Description:Contractor shall provide Tissue Processing and Staining Services for the Pathology Service at the VA Palo Alto Healthcare System (VAPAHCS), 3801 Miranda Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304. The Contractor shall furnish all facilities, equipment, personnel, and supervision to provide a full spectrum of histopathology services. Such services include, but are not limited to, paraffin processing, embedding, cutting and staining. These services shall be provided at the Contractor's facilities. The Contractor shall pick up the tissue and cell blocks to be processed from the VAPAHCS, Monday-Friday between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM except for Government holidays. In addition, the Contractor shall provide the personnel and means to transport the specimens and finished products between the VAPAHCS and the Contractor's facilities. This is a commercial procurement and a total small business set aside. Solicitation document RFQ will be posted on or about 6/25/09. Questions/inquiries must be in writing and may be emailed to Lupe.arroyo@va.gov. The Contractor is responsible for downloading all additional documents such as the RFQ and amendments without further notification from the VA Contracting Officer.
