Description
ANCDF-RFQ-WA9-2130 - Second Supplemental HVAC Unit in PDAR Room, ECP-1700 Provide all labor, materials, and equipment in accordance with this document, Second Supplemental HVAC Unit in PDAR Room Engineering Work Package (EWP), and the Special Conditions. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: Mechanical Work: 1.1 Install a KH3672R Sanyo wall mounted air handler in accordance with Sketch SK02-AN-1-M-9361-SC. Provide hand held remote control for the system mounted to wall per mfg's instructions. 1.2 Install a C3672R Sanyo outdoors condensing section that is matched to the wall mounted air handler in accordance with Sketch SK02-AN-1-M-9361-SC. 1.3 Field install "L" copper tubing/supports for the discharge and suction lines in accordance with Sketch SK02-AN-1-M-9361-SC. "L" copper is to be used for the drain also. 1.4 Prior to charging the systems, perform a leak check per test requirement, repair leaks as necessary and perform a nitrogen evacuation, if the unit does not come with pre-charged components. Charge systems with Non CFC refrigerant as required by manufacturer's installation requirements. Perform any additional testing as required by the manufacturer's recommendations. 1.5 Condensing sections will be set on the concrete sidewalk outside the Control Room near the existing unit under the stairs. 1.6 Condensate drainage point will be to the condensate drain pit or sump under the floor in the Control Room. 1.7 Insulate the 5/8" suction line with Armaflex type black insulation. Insulate the 1" condensate drain with the same material. Do not insulate the 3/8" liquid line. 1.8 Remove the door between the PDAR Room (08-113) and FEM Room (08-106). Door will be turned in at gate 5A warehouse, see responsible engineer for required paper work. 1.9 Remove the two air registers from the PDAR Room ceiling and install Therma-Fusers in place of them. Adapt duct neck, best way and set Therma-Fuser @ 60°F. Old air registers will be turned in at gate 5A warehouse, see responsible engineer for required paper work Electrical Work: 1.10 Field route a 3/4" rigid conduit from essential electrical panel SPS-PANB-124 out the west side of the building via the cable tray north of the door, along the wall, under the stairs to a new disconnect, see Sketch SK02-AN-1-M-9361-SC. 1.11 Move the load on SPS-PANB-124, Circuit #1 to share the load on Circuit #19 and move Circuit #26 to Circuit #1. 1.12 Remove existing breakers and install a double pole 50-amp breaker in panel SPS-PANB-124, Circuits #24 & 26. 1.13 Install 3 each, #8 AWG copper THWN-2 wires: 2 each phase wires (Panel # SPS-PANB-124, Circuits #24 & 26) and 1 each ground, in the 3/4" conduit from the power panel to the service disconnect. Install under the floor in the tray a cable tray wire from the outside unit to the inside unit with 4 # 14 conductors. Terminate the four conductors per the manufacturer's instructions. Use a surface mounted box and a 15 amp DPST switch for the inside disconnect. Install 1" seal tight from the service disconnect to the condensing unit as needed. Field terminate wiring at the condensing unit and air handler unit in accordance with manufacturer's installation instructions. 1.14 The entire installation shall conform to the 2005 National Electrical Code (NEC). 1.15 Identify all conductors with the appropriate panel board and circuit number. 1.16 All conductors are copper with type THWN-2 insulation, unless otherwise approved by WA Engineering. Conductors shall be color coded or identified with phase tape as follows: 1.17 A Phase - Black, B Phase - Red, C Phase - Blue, Neutral - White - Ground - Green. 1.18 Update panel board schedule (SPS-PANB-124) and tag the indoor and outdoor unit.
