- RECOVERY.RECOVERY: To deliver on an as needed basis approximately 250 tons of washed sand bedding material to be used during installation of high voltage electrical lines and approximately 200 tons of 5/8 inch minus gravel for trench backfill. Sand and gravel must be free of vegetable matter or other deleterious substances. NAICS Code 423320-gravel, construction, merchant wholesalers with a small business size of 100. The National Park Service encourages small business, disadvantaged or women owned businesses to submit quotes. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This solicitation and any subsequent award, incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2009-1-1. The following provisions apply to this acquisition: 52-212-1 Instructions to Offerors- Commercial Items; 52-212-3 Offeror Representation and Certification-Commercial Items; 52-212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items; ARRA clauses: FAR 52.203-15 Whistleblower protections; 52.212-4 Special Buy-American Act requirements; 52-212-5 Contractor reporting requirements; 52-213-4 Expanded GAO/OIG access to contractor records; 52.214-26; 52-215-2 Section 6.4; 52.225-21 thru 52.225-24; 52-244-6.This requirement contains American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) fundings and will therefore be subject to additional ARRA contract clauses which include additional contractor reporting requirements.The full text of these Commercial Items clauses is available at http://www.acqnet.gov/far. Mount Rainier National Park contemplates award of a firm fixed price contract based on the responses to this combined synopsis/solicitation.This announcement constitutes the only solicitation that will be issued for this requirement; quotations are being required to be completed on company letterhead and either faxed to 360-569-2180 or by mail the attention of JoAnn Palmer, Mount Rainier National Park, 55210 238th Avenue East, Ashford, WA 98304. Quotes are due by July 9, 2009, 11:00 AM, Pacific Daylight Time. CCR Requirement - Company must be registered on Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before an award can be made to them. If company is not registered in CCR, they may do so by going to CCR web site at http://www.ccr.gov. Delivery will be to Mount Rainier National Park, a unit of the National Park Service located in Pierce County, Washington at the Narada Falls area located 15 miles East of the Nisqually Entrance.
