Description

This project involves restoring an existing trail used by hikers/equestrians. Work also includes the construction of six relocations. Restoration (reconstruction of existing trail) includes reconstructing the trailbed, removing slough and berms, outsloping entire trailbed, reshaping and refinishing backslopes, compacting of fill material, construction of drain dips, a shallow stream ford and other structures, cutting back logs, stumps and encroaching brush and refinishing the entire trail tread surface. Construction (relocations) consists of clearing, grubbing, construction of a new trailbed, and the construction of several switchbacks. Blasting will be necessary. Trail will remain open during restoration. A high standard of workmanship is required as in adherence to project specificaitons. Details such as Project Work Log, Project Specifications and Project Drawings will be posted along with the solicitation package on or before July 10. The entire project is within National Forest Wildernes and no motorized equipment is permitted.
