Description
*Modified response date to July 10, 2009 11AM EST The National Cancer Institute (NCI), Center for Biomedical Informatics and Information Technology (CBIIT), plans to procure LANrev Automated Client Management support renewal on a sole source basis with LANrev, 4287 Beltline Rd., #308, Addison Texas 75001. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 811219 and the business size standard in $7.0M. This acquisition will be processed in accordance with simplified acquisition procedures as stated in FAR Part 13.106-1(b)(1). Period of performance shall be for one year from date of award. CBIIT recently began deploying the LANrev software to all of its desktop and laptop computers for use on Windows and Mac computers. LANrev is a commercial off-the-shelf software product that provides centralized application deployment, patch management, and asset management for all of NCI. This package will satisfy the deficiencies identified by the Office of Inspector General (OIG); specifically effective centralized patch management. Additionally, it will resolve the issues associated with existing application deployment process and the removal of administrative rights from the local workstations. The contractor shall provide customer support for technical problems that occur when using LANrev products. LANrev Support Technicians will directly handle customer issues outlined in the following levels of support: •Free upgrades for the life of the contract. This includes minor and major version changes. •Unlimited technical support for each end-user, for the life of the contract •Access to enterprise Resource Center with dynamic, online manuals, Help FAQs, and all patches and updates as soon as they are released •Email notification to designated LANrev maintenance administrator •Designated system engineer assigned to provide level 2 support •Priority technical support via trouble ticket support form in LANrev Resource Center •LANrev engineering support will be available to provide guidance for the initial LANrev deployment LANrev LP is the only known source for acquisition and support. LANrev is the only known developer of LANrev Client Management software and provider of LANrev Site Licenses and Site License Maintenance. This is not a request for competitive quotation. However, if any interested party believes it can meet the above requirement, it may submit a statement of capabilities. The statement of capabilities and any other information furnished must be in writing and must contain material in sufficient detail to allow the researcher to determine if the party can perform this requirement. An original and one copy of the capability statement must be received in the contracting office on or before 11:00 am ET on July 6, 2009 to Melissa Marino, Contract Specialist. All questions must be in writing and can be faxed to 301-402-4513 or sent via email to marinome@mail.nih.gov. It is the vendor's responsibility to ensure questions have been received. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No collect calls will be accepted. In order to receive an award, contractors must be registered in and have valid certifications in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR), www.ccr.gov and the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) www.orca.bpn.gov.
