- Description
- RECOVERY ACT - Contractor shall furnish all supervision, tools, labor, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary for the Replace Air Handlers for Laboratory at the Grand Island Division of the Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System. Work includes but is not limited to General Construction, Site work, Metals, Wood and Plastic, Thermal and Moisture Protection, Finishes, Specialties, Equipment, Furnishings, Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical work, and necessary removal of existing structures. All work shall be performed in accordance with specifications and drawings for "Upgrade HVAC Systems - Grand Island" Project No. R636-07-301ES at the Department Of Veterans Affairs Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System, 2201 North Broadwell, Grand Island, NE., and all applicable codes and standards. The project will consist of installation of a new 4000 CFM air handler and the replacement of an estimated 9 fan coil units and associated piping, ductwork, controls and electrical components. Solicitation Number VA-263-09-RA-0285 for this effort will be posted to FedBizOpps (www.fedbizopps.gov) on or about July 10, 2009. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings and other information necessary to bid the project. An Organized Site Visit is tentatively scheduled to be held during the week of July 20th - 24th, 2009 (see solicitation when available for specific time/date/place). The Bid Opening is tentatively scheduled to be held on August 18, 2009 (see solicitation when available for specific time/date/place). The successful bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds within 10 calendar days of award notification. The Period of Performance is expected to be 120 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice-to-Proceed. THIS SOLICITATION IS SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES (SDVOSBs) UNDER PUBLIC LAW 109-461. Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects: The estimate of the total project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00.
