- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) and Time and Material (T&M) type contract on a sole source basis to Meggitt (UK) LTD (Meggitt Avionics), Fareham, Great Britain. The procurement is for two (2) High Integration Air Data Computer Plus (HIADC+) units, P/N AE006661-01, used in H-1 Lot 3 aircraft and higher denomination, engineering support and repair requirements in order to allow I-level capability. The engineering support will give the Government access to professionals intimately familiar with the theory-of-operations and design of these parts. The repair and engineering services are NTE five years. The Government intends to procure these items under the authority of 10 U.S.C 2304(c) (1) as cited in FAR 6.302-1 “Only One Reasonable Source”, therefore, a solicitation is not available for this procurement. Meggitt Avionics is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for the HIADC+, an emerging system which has not yet been fielded to the fleet and is therefore not available from NAVSUP/NAVICP or other conventional sources for fielded units. A determination not to open the requirement to competition, based upon the response(s) to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. If no written response is received within 15 days, a contract may be issued without further notice.
