- This a notice of intent to award a sole source order using simplified acquisition procedures for commercial items (FAR Part part 13.5 and FAR part 12) to procure QuickView Plus Software and Maintenance from Avantstar, 18986 Lake Drive East, Chanhassen, Mn. 55317. The period of performance will be one year with two one year options for maintenance. Avantstar is the exclusive owner and holds worldwide distribution rights to this product. The IRS uses this software to convert/view files received from taxpayers that can not be opened with Acrobat Reader or other software. The IRS intends to solicit only one source under the Authority of FAR 6.302-1-"Only one responsible source and not other supplies or services wil satisfy agency requirements". All responses received by June 29, 2009 will be considered by the Government. A determination not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
