- Description
- The National Park Service intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB #I5120095342) for a Firm-Fixed Price contract to provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials and supervision necessary to crush approximately 8,000 cubic yards of aggregate material, relocate approximately 5,100 cubic yards of the processed and existing material, and install/remove approximately 18,767 linear feet of silt fencing; at multiple locations throughout Big Cypress National Preserve, Ochopee, Florida. The anticipated period of performance for the resulting contract is 60 calendar days from the notice to proceed. All work will be performed under a single contract. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with the specifications and drawings provided with the IFB documents posted on this site. This IFB will be issued electronically, on the Department of Interiors National Business Center (NBC) web site, at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about July 10, 2009. No paper copies will be issued. Prospective offerors desiring to conduct business with DOI should register at the National Business Center. Proposal documents will be made available in the Microsoft Word, HTML and Adobe PDF. Offerors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http://ideas.nbc.gov. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee notification. Subscribers to this service are ultimately responsible for reviewing http://ideasec.nbc.gov site for all information relevant to this solicitation. Plan holders will be required to visit this website periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the contract documents. Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the National Park Service must be registered at www.ccr.gov and http://orca.bpn.gov. The applicable NAICS code for this project is 238910 with a size standard of $14M and is set aside for small business. Any site visit information will be included in the IFB. The ESTIMATED due date for bids and bid opening is August 10, 2009; however, the actual due date of bids/bid opening may be adjusted based upon actual posting date of the solicitation and the information will be clearly stated within the solicitation documents. The anticipated award date is August 25, 2009 for a single Firm Fixed Price Type contract, however commencement of work will be contingent on ground saturation levels.
