Description: Rock Creek Release/Thinning & Slash Treatment. This project is located on the Lowman Ranger District of the Boise National Forest. The purpose of the project is to reduce the incidence of non-merchantable late seral species, primarily Douglas Fir. Additional work will include the removal of potential ladder fuels from beneath large diameter Ponderosa Pine that are greater than 16" DBH. The contract time to complete this project will begin on August 1, 2009, and extend until November 30, 2009.
