- PROJECT NAME: Gary Tallis Wetlands Restoration MAGNITUDE OF PROJECT: Between $25,000 and $100,000. LOCATION: Osage County, Kansas SUMMARY: This project is for the restoration of wetlands through the Wetlands Reserve Program in Osage County, Kansas. Work is as detailed in the plans and specifications and includes earthfill, PVC pipe, grass seeding and mulching, excavation-core trenches, in-line water lever control, erosion control and sheepsfooting. QUANTITIES: Earthfill (5,354 cu. yd.), PVC Pipe, (202 lin. ft.), Grass Seeding & Mulching (lump sum), Excavation-Core Trenches (lump sum), In-Line Water Level Control STR (4 each), Erosion Control (lump sum) and Sheepsfooting (lump sum). TIME FRAMES/DATE: Performance time, including mobilization and days for inclement weather is 120 work days, assuming 10 hour work-days and 5 day work-weeks. Tentative dates for: 1) solicitation packet will be posted July 9, 2009, bid opening, August 12, 2009. Prospective contractors must obtain a Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number. A DUNS number can be obtain by calling the Dun and Bradstreet at 1-866-705-5711 or via the Internet at http://www.dnb.com. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. Registration can be completed at the CCR Web site at http://www.ccr.gov. Prospective contractors must complete the annual representations and certifications electronically via the Online Representation and Certifications Application (ORCA). Registration can be completed at the ORCA web site at http://orca.bpn.gov.
