- Description
- The Radar and Antenna Systems Division 4.5.5 Facilities for RCS and Antenna Measurements (FARM) is made up of both outdoor antenna ranges and anechoic chambers that are used in conducting antenna measurements. Building 2193 outdoor range uses an automated antenna measurements system developed by Orbit/FR that consists of both hardware and software to conduct antenna measurements. This system is the Orbit FR959 Antenna Pattern Data Acquisition and Analysis System. The system includes hardware from Orbit/FR and their channel partner Agilent Technologies. All the hardware is controlled by software from Orbit/FR. The Agilent 8530 RF receiver and multi-channel controller is now obsolete and no longer supported by Agilent. The Agilent RF receiver will be replaced with an existing government Agilent PNA network Analyzer and the Agilent multi-channel controller will be replaced with an Orbit/FR 9800 High Speed Switch Controller. This procurement will also include RF cables, software drivers, PC controllers, training, manuals and installation of the new equipment with the existing system.
