- This is not an ARRA funded project.... Magnitude of this construction is between $5,000,000.00 - $10,000,000.00 The Construction of a single story addition and alteration of the existing fitness center at Goodfellow AFB, Texas will be awarded via a RFP. The facility will consist of approximately 19,106 Square feet of additional space and will alter approximately 3000 Square feet. The facility shall include renovation of existing admin area, locker, shower, exercise, and weight rooms; upgrade HVAC and electrical. Construct new all purpose gym floors, group exercise and cardiovascular rooms, fitness equipment space, required distractive space, and support areas, including all utilities/infrastructure. Expand locker and shower rooms. Resurface outside all-purpose courts. Provide antiterrorism/force protection (AT/FP) measures in accordance with unified facility criteria (UFC). The project will also include minimal vehicle and pedestrian circulation, minimal landscaping, appropriate building and landscaping stand-off distances and other anti-terrorism/force protection measures. Supporting utilities shall include gas, sewer, water, and underground electrical and communication services. Fire protection and alarms systems will be provided throughout the new addition. Demolition and lead-based paint abatement and asbestos for Bldgs. 140. The renovation is anticipated to begin Fall 2009 The Little Rock District is encouraging qualified small business participation. Companies should indicate eligibility under the small business programs such as veteran owned, service-disabled veteran-owned, HUBZone, small disadvantaged, women-owned, and 8(a). The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal utilizing the best value process as defined in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15 and will include price and non-price evaluation factors. A firm-fixed price contract will be negotiated as a result of the solicitation. On or about 20 June 2009, the solicitation documents for this project will be available via the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at https://www.fbo.gov/ under solicitation number W9127S-09-R-6010.
