- Pre-Solicitation Rehabilitate Pump Well Eielson AFB, AK The work consists of the contractor furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, tools, permits, approvals, and fees necessary to perform the work required, in strict accordance with specifications and applicable drawings. Description: Provide all work rehabilitate fire pump water production well to include, but not limited to: Removing, testing, inspecting, reconditioning and reinstalling the Johnson Vertical Shaft drive unit. Inspecting and servicing of the Caterpillar diesel engine and Metron fire pump controller. Removing and reconditioning the pump assembly, low water sensor, line shaft, column pipes and couplings, and reinstalling the line shaft turbine pump Fairbanks Morse vertical shaft turbine fire pump. Inspection and cleaning of entire drive train between drive engine and pump. Mechanical cleaning of the well casing and screens. Surging and pumping well to remove debris, scale, and sediment. Video taping the well before and after the rehabilitation work to inspect the casing and screen. Reassembling the drive assembly, pump, and piping, and test flowing the well. This well house is located out on the Eielson AFB flight line east of the Thunderdome hanger, Building 1140. The contractor will perform all work according to generally accepted industry practices including the proper disinfection of all materials and tools placed in the well. The resultant contract will be firm fixed price. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 237110 with a size standard of $33.5 million. The magnitude of this project is between $50,000 and $100,000. This acquisition is being solicited IAW 19.5 - Set-Aside for Small Business. THIS SOLICITATION AND ANY AMENDMENTS ARE PAPERLESS AND WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THE INTERNET ONLY. **NOTE: All contractors must be registered in the Centralized Contractor Registration (CCR) program in order to receive a contract award from any DOD activity. Contractors may access the Internet site at: http://www.ccr.gov to register and/or obtain information about the CCR program. The solicitation will be available on or about 25 June 2009. A solicitation mailing list will not be maintained for this procurement, all solicitation documents will be available electronically and it is the responsibility of the offeror to register for notification of updates to this procurement via this web site.
