Description
The USDA Forest Service, Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest is pleased to announce availability of a prospectus for a 5+5 year special use permit for the operation and maintenance of Government-owned campgrounds and day use recreation sites on the Naches Ranger District. The Prospectus, available on the web at http://www.fs.fed.us/r6/wenatchee/projects/naches-campground/, describes the business opportunity and provides instruction for submitting applications. The prospectus will be available on or about July 1, 2009. Complete applications must be submitted to Rebecca Locket Heath, Forest Supervisor, attention Jacqueline Beidl, 10237 US Highway 12, Naches, Washington 98937. Applications must be received by close of business (4:30 p.m. local time) on September 1, 2009. A selection will be made in late summer/early autumn of 2009 so that the permit may be issued and operators in place on January 1, 2010. Please review the Prospectus carefully. Applicants are strongly encourage to visit the sites at least once before submitting an application. Each application is expected to make an independent assessment of the business opportunity offered in this prospectus. Applicants must submit three (3) hard copies of their application package and supporting documents along with a bank draft, money order, or cashier's check in the amount of $100 payable to the USDA Forest Service to cover the processing fee. Applicants are also required to submit three (3) hard copies of their business plan along with a bank draft, money order, or cashier's check in the amount of $30 payable to SBDC for an independant SBDC review. If an applicant's current fiscal year business plan has already been reviewed by and SBDC, the applicant may sumbit a copy of the review report in lieu of the latter requirement. Unless requested in writing to return the proposals, all unsuccessful applicants' proposals and supporting documentation will be destroyed after the appropriate appeal period. Portions of the selected applicant's package will become part of the special use permit. Please ensure that all requested information is submitted. Missing or incomplete information will result in a lower rating for the corresponding evaluation criteria.
