- Description
- Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a) (2) (ii) the National Park Service anticipates soliciting a proposal from a single source, McLane Research Laboratories, Inc., for a Positive traction (crawler) type profiler. The critical requirements include a single mooring cable design, 600 meter depth rating, capability to support additional instruments including CDOM sensor and ECO Triplet, and unattended daily data transfer to a surface float using an inductive modem and mooring cable. The system must be proven reliable and robust, used in multiple lake or ocean environments (greater than 5 deployments) for a period of at least 3 years. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
