- Description
- The Government intends to award a four-year requirements sole source contract to Pearson Engineering, Ltd. Wincomblee Road, Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom, Cage Code: K0824. The Engineering Breaching System (EBS), as a major subsystem of the Assault Breacher Vehicle (ABV) System, is an integral part of that systems program. The Army anticipates procuring ninety-three (93) Engineering Breaching Systems. Each Engineering Breaching System is comprised of the following subsystems: A.One (1) Lane Marking Subsystem (LMS), with left and right components B.One (1) High Lift Adapter (HLA) Subsystem with chassis hydraulics C.One (1) Full Width Mine Plow (FWMP) Subsystem with Blast Resistant Upgrades and HLA Modifications D.One (1) Dozer Blade Subsystem with HLA Modifications E.One (1) Surface Mine Plow Subsystem (SMPS) F.One (1) Rapid Ordnance Removal Subsystem (RORS) All of the above subsystems include the associated mounting hardware, cables, hydraulic lines, and fittings necessary to fully install and operate each subsystem. Also being procured under this action are Operator and Maintenance Manual and other associated publications updates; initial spare parts packages, one delivered with each six systems; spare and repair parts for ongoing field repairs; training aids; and, FSR Support for Engineering/Installation Support, Logistical Support and New Equipment Training (NET) and Operator Training (OPNET). The Engineering Breaching System will be procured and delivered to Anniston Army Depot (ANAD), who is the integrator for the ABV Program, for installation during the production phase of the ABV.
