- Description
- NASA/Kennedy Space Center is seeking sources and potential equipment withcapability to provide the transfer of liquid/gaseous oxygen commodity to gaseous forminto pressure vessel receivers at 6000 psig pressure. The intent is to provide oxygentransfer capability by a mobile system with targeted flow rate at a minimum of 1,250SCFM. The current methodology for oxygen gas being transferred at high pressure andmultiple locations is through the use of mobile cryogenic liquid-to-gas converter /pumper units to recharge end-user storage vessels. These recharger / pumper unitsconsist of a cryogenic liquid dewar (2000 gal capacity), high pressure liquid cryogenicpump, and vaporizer for conversion of liquid to gas. Unit must be a high confidenceoxygen compatible system at elevated pressures. Other methods for consideration include, but are not limited to: gas intensifiers, compressors, and liquid expanders. Briefwritten statements of interest and citations of relevant related background should bereceived by COB, July 20, 2009, and should be identified with the above title andOP-OS-01B. No solicitation exists, this is not a Request for Proposal; therefore, do notrequest a copy of the solicitation. If a solicitation is released it will be synopsizedin FedBizOpps and on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service.
