Description
***ESTIMATED ISSUE DATE OF SOLICITATION AND SPECIFICATIONS ELECTRONICALLY IN FEDERAL BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES IS JULY 16, 2009. *** The Contractor shall furnish the necessary personnel, material, equipment, services and facilities (except as otherwise specified), to perform the Statement of Work/Specifications. Work consists of upgrading the Water System at the Paradise Campground & Day-Use-Area. The work includes, but it is not limited, to the following: 1.Replace and upgrade plumbing components inside the pump-house. 2.Upgrade electrical and flow control panel(s) to accommodate existing electrical loads and flow control systems. 3.Install a new 15,000-gallons Epoxy Coated Bolted Steel Tank. 4.Install approximately 9,800 feet of water lines and drain lines. Approximately 200 feet of waterlines will be installed under a gravel-road and 660 feet of water lines will be installed under asphalt-road areas, and asphalt driveways. 5.Install control water valves, a double check valve assembly, a water meter, air release valves, water boxes, water faucets and water faucet-drain areas, trust blocks, drain lines, and other appurtenances in the airfield and campground & day-use-area as stated in the specifications and/or drawings. 6.Remove excavated, exposed, and excess water lines off government property. Leave in place old buried unexposed underground utilities. 7.Remove old water valves, valve boxes, and covers from the ground. 8.Remove all existing old water fountains and their fixtures. 9.Remove spoils and excess materials resulting from excavation work at the campground and day-use-area. Place spoils and excess materials in waste disposal site identified by the government. Disposal site is in the vicinity of the campground, on Forest Service land. 10.Restore disturbed forest landscape areas placing logs, rock/boulders, and organic material as indicated by Forest Service personnel. 11.Optional Items: 1) Remove and dispose of the National Forest the existing 12,000 gallons steel water tank; 2) Install a “Tanker Fill System”. Government’s estimate is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. This proposed procurement listed herein is set-aside for HUBZone firms in accordance with the Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Act of 1997.
