- iDirect is the only Brand Name that will be accepted. Any proposals with "or equal" products will not be accepted. This notice is being posted as a Request for Quotations for Purchase Request F3RTCL9132A001. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.202 (a)(13), Exceptions to Publicizing Contract Actions, there will not be a pre-solicitation notice posted for this required action. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. THIS SOLICITATION IS 100% SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS. The NAICS code for the requirement is 517410. The size standard for this NAICS code is $15 million. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-33. Contract Line Number 0001: Purchase iDirect VSAT Hub 4IF-1(1 Intermediate Frequency) LAB USE ONLY, 2xM1D1, 1xNMS (Dual Processor) Servers, 2xPPs, 2xLAN Switches (Cisco 2960), 1xKVM 8 Port Switch, 2xRCMs, 1xEDAS Board, 2x Power Supplies, quantity 1 each. Brand Name is required per the attached Brand Name Justification. No equals will be accepted. Contract Line Number 0002: Purchase Implementation Package (price is inclusive of travel and per diem expenses). The package must include: Hub engineering design - Design schematic detailing physical connections from the hub to our iDirect equipment located at Schriever AFB, CO; Initial Network Configuration Services - All initial network services setup and documented so the data can be transferred and received within the network at Schriever AFB, CO; Server Configuration Services - Initial server configuration services setup, documented, and operational so the information can be passed to and from each piece of equipment; Baseband Hub Installation - Installation of the physical hub and connections to the equipment already at Schriever AFB, CO; and Network Management System familiarization - Provide training to include the operation and manipulation of the Network Management System which controls routing tables, and overall network operation. Offer/quote should include a technical description of the items being offered in sufficient detail to evaluate compliance with the requirements in the solicitation. FOB point is Destination (Schriever AFB, CO 80912). The following factors shall be used to evaluate quotes: price and technical acceptability. Responding contractors shall include quotations and descriptive literature with their response to allow the government to make a complete evaluation and appraisal of the offering with respect to the requirements set forth in this combined synopsis solicitation. The completion date for contract line item 0001 and 0002 are to be completed on or before 24 July 09. Completion dates after 24 July 09 will not be accepted.
