Description
This is a notice of intent that WR-ALC anticipates issuing a Firm Fixed Price Type Contract for supplies or services. This procurement is for the procurement of the Electronic Systems Test Set, (NSN: 4920-01-416-1105RN; P/N: DER4100TSP-1). This acquisition consists of a Basic Year plus Four (4) Options Years. The Basic Year is for an approximate Quantity of 1 -19 Each. The four (4) Options are as follows: Option I has a Quantity Range of 1- 10 Each; Option II has a Quantity Range of 1- 10 Each; Option III has a Quantity Range of 1- 10 Each; and Option IV has a Quantity Range of 1- 10 Each. The Electronic Systems Test Set is specially designed for the C-130 to test the condition and functionality of electronic relays and is used during the maintenance operations of the aircraft. Flight operations without proper relay testing could result in failure placing the crew, aircraft and mission at unnecessary risk. ITEM DIMENSIONS: Width = 12 Inches Nominal; Length = 18 Inches Nominal; and Height = 7 Inches Nominal. ITEM MATERIAL: Metal and Plastic. ITEM FUNCTION: Test relays at an intermediate load condition and determine the condition of each individual relay. SAFETY CRITICAL SCREW: Threaded Component. DELIVERY SCHEDULE: 180 Days After Receipt of Order (ARO). Multiple Shipping Locations are involved - some which may include Air Force (AF) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS). The Government does NOT possess the necessary Data to manufacture or complete the item. THE APPROXIMATE ISSUE DATE OF SOLICITATION IS: 31 JULY 2009 WITH APPROXIMATE RESPONSE DATE OF: 31 AUGUST 2009. If the contracting officer does not satisfy your concerns, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established channels. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate serous contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern.
