Description

RECOVERY - THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO THE MOODY AFB, GA AIRFIELD PAVEMENTS INDEFINATE DELIVERY INDEFINATE QUANTITY CONTRACTOR. The Contractor shall reconstruct the portland cement concrete pavement as delineated on the project drawings and in accordance with the contract specifications and documents. The work shall include concrete demolition, excavation and disposal of concrete, base and sub-grade materials, sub-grade preparation, base course and concrete pavement system construction including dowels, joints and joint seal, pavement markings, as required, and other work as required in accordance with the Contract Documents. The typical section for the new construction shall be 6" graded aggregate base and 14" concrete pavement. The typical concrete slab size shall be 12.5' x 12.5'. Dowel bars (1 ¼" x 20" @ 15" spacing) shall be placed in all longitudinal construction joints, in transverse construction joints, and in existing adjoining concrete pavement where existing pavement is 12" or more in thickness. Remove/replace any broken concrete adjacent to the trench drain on both sides with high early strength concrete 4" thick.
