- The Department of Veterans Affairs, R.L. Roudebush VA Medical Center, 1481 W 10th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202 has a requirement to renovate the existing D-wing entrance within Building 1 of the VA Medical Center. The renovation of the D-Wing entrance shall include the complete demolition of all walls, ceilings, floors, foundations, ramps, landscaping and utilities of the vestibule, including Slider Doors, Stairwell main door, security camera and exterior Ice Snow Melting System in the entrance ramp.New construction shall include walls, ceilings, floors, foundations, ramps, landscaping, equipment and utilities for the enlarged vestibule, including Slider Doors, Stairwell man door and extended Ice Snow Melting System in a new entrance ramp. The newly renovated vestibule will need relocation of existing security surveillance systems including a security camera for patient safety. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment and expert supervision for this requirement. Work includes: General construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, plumbing work, utility systems, removal of existing structures, and construction of certain other items as required for provision of work and as covered within the contract drawings and specifications for all phases of work. This procurement shall include bid alternates. This procurement is a 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. Contract award shall be firm fixed price. All qualified responsible sources may submit an offer that shall be considered by the agency. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 238990 and its size standard of 14.0 million apply. The solicitation shall be made available on or about May 15, 2009 with a due date of June 16, 2009. Copies of the solicitation may be obtained at no charge at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Dissemination is limited to electronic medium and the VA will provide no hard copies. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will also be available at the URL address. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments. The resulting contract shall be awarded to the offeror who provides the best overall value to the Government. Completion time shall be 180 days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. No telephone request will be accepted. All interested parties must have a Dun and Bradstreet Number, Federal Identification Number (FID), Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR), and if veteran owned, registered in the Veteran Information Pages at www.VETBIZ.GOV. AWARD OF THIS PROJECT IS CONTINGENT ON THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS.
