- Description
- The Coast Guard is seeking qualified sources that can remove old reefer equipment on CG 210', 270' and 378' cutters and replace with government furnished Seahorse refrigeration system - Carrier Model Numbers 90YR16NSD3ND6K9Z; 90YR28NSF3ND6M9Z and 90YR20NSD3ND6K9Z; Keep Rite unit coolers KLP-103VE-S4* and KLP-104VE-S4*: along with the following government furnished components: electrical thermostat, electrical cable and breaker, lighting fixutres; alarms; MSA ChillGard L-series leak detection system with visual and audible alarm beacons. The Coast Guard anticipates awarding a requirements type contract with one (1) base year and two (2) option years. Removal and installation shall be accomplished in accordance with Coast Guard specifications, commercial specifications and marine industry standards. The solicitation will be issued as full and open competition for the removal and installation of all equipment except the Carrier Transicold refrigeration system, which shall be installed by an authorized Carrier Representative. The limitation to use only Carrier Transicold Authorized Representative will allow the government to maintain the OEM warranty. See number notes 22*****
