Description
The US Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District is seeking sources for a service contract entitled, Irrigation Well Drilling near Hells Gate State Park, Lewiston, Idaho. This will be a firm-fixed-price contract. Summary of Statement of Work Requirement is for the drilling of an irrigation well located at the upstream end of Hells Gate State Park near Lewiston, Idaho. The well is required to produce 480 gallons per minute and will be cased to bedrock and will start out at 12-inch in diameter. The materials to be penetrated at the well site are expected to be overburden and basalt bedrock. It is expected that the well depth may be 600 feet or deeper. The driller will be required to log the well as it is drilled. Following completion of the well the contractor will perform a 24-hour pump test to determine yield. Water samples for chemical analysis shall be taken prior to the end of the pumping test. The well will be tested for alignment and sterilized prior to completion. All drill cuttings will be gathered and placed at a location nearby. With the exception of the well the site will be returned to its natural condition. Contractor is required to follow the procedures in the Army Corps of Engineers Safety Manual, at http://www.usace.army.mil/CESO/Documents/EM385-1-1FINAL.pdf.
