Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE only, for the Installation of Turtle-Ready Meters at Eielson AFB, Alaska. OFFERS OR PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. THIS IS NOT A PRESOLICITATION OR SOLICITATION. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, labor, equipment, supervision and tools necessary to install turtle-ready meters to include, but may not be limited to: Install 25 electric meters with internal transmitters and/or external transmitters compatible with Eielson's Landis & Gyr TS1 Automated Meter Reading (AMR) system and in compliance with the Energy Policy Act of 2005 at the locations described below. Meters and test switches must be installed at five service entrances that do not already have an existing meter or meter socket in place. Self-contained meters with no external current transformers (CTs) (Landis & Gyr K-base meter or equivalent) will be installed at two service entrances that have no existing meter or meter socket in place. Nine AMR socket meters and test switches must be installed at locations with existing socket meters. Four locations with existing panel board meters must have new AMR socket meters and test switches installed off of the existing CTs. Four locations which have new panel board meters will require the installation of an input/output module and external Landis & Gyr TS1 transmitter. One location with a faulty panel board meter must have that meter replaced and connected to the existing Landis & Gyr external TS1 transmitter. The Contractor will coordinate any facility power outages required to do the work with the government. The estimated construction magnitude is between $100,000 and $250,000.
