Description
This is the first pre-solicitation notice. Another notice will be issued again prior to the release of the solicitation, and will be called the synopsis. The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Southeast Regional Office plans to issue Solicitation IFBP03010900003 to remove two existing 30,000 gallon diesel fuel tanks and replace with two new 12,000 gallon double wall above ground diesel fuel tanks. The successful contractor will be required to provide all materials, labor, equipment and supplies to complete the work in accordance with the specifications and drawings. The magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 237120, with a small business size standard of $33.5 million. The solicitation will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. This site provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through the referenced web-site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations fo contracts for which they are eligible. Any contractor interested in receiving a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must be registered at www.ccr.gov and http://orca.bpn.gov. The successful contractor shall be responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes. There are no tax exemptions. This is a 100% small business set-aside. All responsible small business sources are encouraged to submit a bid which will be considered for award. The solicitation will be available on or about July 23, 2009 with an anticipated bid opening date of August 24, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. The bid opening will be conducted in the front lobby of the Southeast Regional Office located at 3800 Camp Creek Parkway, SW, Building 2000, Atlanta, Georgia 30331.
