- Synopsis: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number L09PS00871 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-30. This is a total small business set-aside under NAICS 212319 with a small business standard of less than 500 employees. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is in need of 1300 each Rip Rap Rock 6 to 10 in size. Summary of Work Supply and deliver 1,300 tons of rip rap or kicker stones not less than 6 to 10 inches in size meeting the following requirements or as approved by the Contracting Officer. A. Loose Riprap: Stone shall consist of hard, durable stone, cobbles, spalls, or broken concrete; angular in shape, resistant to weathering and to water action. Material shall be free from overburden, spoil, shale, and organic material, and shall meet the gradation requirements specified below. 1. Minimum Density: Shall be 2400 kg/m3 (150 pcf.) 2. Resistance to Disintegration a. Sulfate Soundness Test: Stones shall have a loss not exceeding 10% with the sulfate test after 5 cycles according to AASHTO T 104. b. Freezing and Thawing Test: The stone should not have a loss exceeding 10% after 12 cycles of freezing and thawing according to AASHTO T 103. 3. Gradation: The least dimension of a stone shall be considered its size. Sand, gravel rock dust and rock smaller than 6 inches in diameter shall not exceed 10 percent, by weight, of the total riprap material. B. Location: Commodore Road approx. 17 miles south of Hachita, NM off of Highway 81. See attached map. C. Time: 5 days after contract is award *All material shall be in accordance with the Summary of Work which can be found at http://www.fedconnect.net - Reference Solicitation L09PS00871 and find them under column named Documentation. CCR Requirement- Company must be registered on Central Contract Registration (CCR), before an award can be made to them. If company is not registered in CCR, they may do so by going to CCR web site at http://www.ccr.gov.
