- Description
- This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with UnderSea Sensor Systems, Inc. (USSI) for the production and delivery of sixteen AN/SSQ-62E sonobuoys. These sixteen sonobuoys will be specially configured for NAVSEA S9310-AQ-SAF-010 Navy Battery Safety Certification testing. The units are required to perform government safety testing to verify that the proprietary design meets Navy safety requirements prior to delivering units (currently on contract with USSI) to Fleet inventory. The design is produced exclusively by USSI for the US Navy and authorized allied governments and is not available commercially.
