- PRESOLICITATION NOTICEThe National Park Service (NPS) anticipates soliciting for proposals and awarding a contract for the remodel/update of existing restroom facilities.A) Brief Project Description: The work of this contract consists of the general construction and plumbing upgrades to the existing Visitor Center restrooms at Logan Pass. Water fountains and bottle fillers will also be part of this contract. B) Location: Logan Pass Visitor Center, Glacier National Park. To access the project area from the westside of Glacier NP take all highways to West Glacier in Northwest Montana, then drive thru West Glacier and head to Apgar, then take a right on the Going to the Sun Road. (GTSR) Drive 32 miles on the Going to the Sun Road to Logan Pass. To access the project from the east side of Glacier NP, take all highways to St. Mary, Montana. The drive east on the GTSR for 18 miles to Logan Pass. West side access is scheduled to close on Sept 20, 2009 C) Estimated Price Range: Between $250,000 and $500,000.D) Schedule: All dates are tentative and may change. Issue Request for Proposals July 21, 2009; Proposals due August 21, 2009 ; Award contract September 10, 2009 ; Substantial Completion November 2009.
