- Map of Ridgeview Neighborhood Map of Midland 2 Neighborhood Executive Order for Federally Landscaped Grounds USAF Landscape Design and Planting Guide, Air Force Manual 126-8, dtd Aug 1988. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number FA4625-09-Q-0024 is issued as a request for quotation to provide and install shade trees at various locations in Military Family Housing at Whiteman AFB, MO. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-33, DFARS DCN 2009-015, AFFARS AFAC 2009-0318. The NAICS code is 561730 with the corresponding small business size standard of $7.0M. This is a lowest price technically acceptable acquisition. Contractor shall submit a proposed plan, period of performance, and price. Paper copies of the Request for Quotation shall not be made available. General Requirement: Contractor shall provide and install 200 shade trees at three playgrounds throughout the Ridgeview Neighborhood, Whiteman AFB (see attached maps for playground locations). Contractor shall provide and install 10 shade trees throughout the Midland 2 Neighborhood to supplement existing trees and enhance common areas (see attached map). Trees shall be approximately 8 feet tall at installation. The contractor shall utilize environmentally compatible and economically efficient landscaping practices that fit naturally into the environment, linking the neighborhood environment to its structures and that can minimize site maintenance demands. For specific information, consult the USAF Landscape Design Guide and the Executive Memorandum dated 26 Apr 94, Environmentally and Economically Beneficial Practices on Federal Landscaped Grounds. Both of these documents are attached. Contractor shall submit for government approval a proposed plan including types of trees to be planted and approximate locations prior to starting work. Contractor shall provide a one-year replacement warranty on all trees provided under this contract. This contract is firm fixed price. A site visit is offered and scheduled for 14 July 09 @ 1 pm CST.
