Description
Statement of Work Proposed sole source to Lexington Measurement Technologies. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(i). Proposed source is Lexington Measurement Technologies (CAGE: 5HY21, NAICS: 541712). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations: however, all quotations/responses received within THREE (3) days of issuance of this notice will be considered by the Government. Further determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any quotations should be faxed to Jennifer Kleiv, 88 CONS/PKBB, 937-656-1412 or e-mailed to jennifer.kleiv@wpafb.af.mil no later than 14 Jul 09. Only proposals received by this date will be considered. Any questions should be directed to Jennifer Kleiv at 937-522-4629. The contractor shall apply his best effort to plan, organize, and conduct a research program to contribute to the development of Dynamic In-Flight and Measurement (DITM) technology. In particular, he will apply his extensive expertise in non-contact experimental metrology to develop and demonstrate the technique of using 3D position data from video measurement systems to point and track synchronized pan-tilt-zoom cameras. He will also share his experience with researchers at AFIT. All work, including preparation of a draft report, is to be completed by 30 June 2010.
