- Solicitation for the Lackland Airman Training Center Dorm #1 This announcement has the solicitation and all technical specifications for the subject construction project. This project is for the design-bid-build of a 272,000 square foot dormitory at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, Texas. For "design-bid-build" - the Government has the design; all technical information is attached to this announcement. This dormitory is first of eight that will be constructed. The project title is: FY09 Lackland AFB ATC Dormitory #1 NOTE: The last day to submit questions is 27 July, 2009, at 4:00pm. This will allow the Government to publish the last answers as an amendment to the solicitation, in time for offerors to use those answers for proposal preparation. SITE VISIT: 52.236-27 SITE VISIT (CONSTRUCTION) (FEB 1995) - ALTERNATE I (FEB 1995) (a) The clauses at 52.236-2, Differing Site Conditions, and 52.236-3, Site Investigations and Conditions Affecting the Work, will be included in any contract awarded as a result of this solicitation. Accordingly, offerors or quoters are urged and expected to inspect the site where the work will be performed. Do not park along Gary Avenue. SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: Offerors and subcontractors wishing to participate must submit a complete listing of all personnel to attend the site visit via email, to the above referenced Base Access POC (Ms. Conroy), a minimum of five (5) working days in advance of the site visit. This list shall include full names, date of birth, and driver's license number including the state issued. The first name on the list will indicate: TEAM CHIEF, and this individual will be responsible for all other personnel. NOTE: The US Government will conduct a check of every individual submitted; this will include checking all law enforcement databases. Any individual with an outstanding warrant for any violation can expect to be arrested by Federal law enforcement, then delivered to local police. Any violation refers to even traffic tickets. QUESTIONS DURING THE SITE VISIT: Offeror personnel will submit their questions, AFTER the site visit, through the PROJNET system. In this manner, all offeror personnel will have access to every question, with every US Government response.
