Description
Pre-solicitation notice for oil-lubricated, enclosed line-shaft vertical turbine pumps to be used at Dworshak Dams Skeleton Bay area. Solicitation W912EF-09-R-0057 to be posted on or about 7/22/2009. This synopsis is not a request for quotes or proposals. This is a pre-solicitation notice that a solicitation is scheduled to be released via FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov) on or about 7/22/2009 detailing requirements for oil-lubricated, enclosed line-shaft vertical turbine pumps to be used at Dworshak Dams Skeleton Bay area near Ahsahka, Idaho 83520. The solicitation is scheduled to be issued as a 100% Small Business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System code for this requirement is 333911, size standard: 500 employees. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. Description of Requirement The scope of this requirement is to procure two (2) new oil-lubricated, enclosed line-shaft vertical turbine pumps to be used to prevent flooding of the lower elevations of Dworshak Dam and powerhouse by preventing excessive accumulation of water in the Skeleton Bay area at Dworshak Dam. The pumps shall be American Turbine Model 14M200 or approved equivalent with bowl assembly, 1 stage 2000 GPM @ 65 TDH, 1760 RPM, cast iron/porcelain bowl, bronze impeller, steel collet, Grade 5 cap screws, bronze/rubber bearing material with 50 HP submersible motor, 10 diameter, 1800 RPM, 3 phase, 460 V, 1.15 service factor. The pumps shall be supplied FOB destination and installed at Dworshak Dam, Ahsahka, ID 83520. More details regarding the requirement will be included in the solicitation which is scheduled to be released via FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov) on or about 7/22/2009.
