- The US Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG) intends to issue a solicitation for Aviation Support Services at USAYPG. The Aviation Support Services requirement is for all labor and services necessary to provide non-personal services required to perform aviation support services for USAYPG and/or other test sites (on and off USAYPG property), throughout the United States, and elsewhere as required. The purpose of the contract is to provide administrative, management and operational support services. The operational support services include Ground and Flight Operations, Aviation Maintenance, Airfield Services, Aircraft Servicing, and Installation Respiratory Specialist. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be released on or about 22 July 2009 with an estimated closing date of 15 September 2009. The solicitation will be posted on Federal Business Opportunities and on the Mission & Installation Contracting Command Center (MICC) Center - Yuma website (http://www.yuma.army.mil/site_contracting.asp.) A site visit is planned for on or about 05 August 2009. Offerors planning to attend the site visit must so notify the Contract Specialist via e-mail at laura.stjohn@us.army.mil, Subject Line: Site Visit Aviation Support Services, W9124R-09-R-0012. Award will be made on a best value basis and will be made to the responsible and responsive contractor whose offer best conforms to the solicitation and will be most advantageous to the Government, cost and other factors considered. A Firm-Fixed-Price contract is anticipated. The solicitation and subsequent contract will be awarded for a 30 day phase in period, a base period of one year, and one option year, for a total potential period of performance of two years one month (25 months.) The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 488190 with a small business size standard of $5M. This will be a Total Small Business Set-Aside.
