- THIS IS FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY, NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL OR SOLICITATION. The Food and Drug Administration, Jefferson Laboratories, in Jefferson, Arkansas, is seeking business sources, including service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, HUBZone small businesses, and 8(a) certified companies. The following information is provided to assist the FDA in conducting Market Research to identify potential contractors for this effort: The government is seeking sources interested in the renovation of NCTR building 5A process area. The scope of work consists of renovating approximately 7,000 square feet of an existing building. The renovated space consists of the entire animal care process area including the dirty side, clean side and process equipment area. The process equipment is existing equipment. Existing mechanical and electrical systems will be replaced with new energy efficient hvac, electric and water systems with heat recovery on the hvac system. Architecturally, the entire space will have new finishes including walls, floors and ceiling. The construction duration is estimated to be 365 calendar days. The magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is- 236220- Commercial and Institutional Building Construction; Small Business Size Standard is $33.5 Million. Potential contractors must indicate business size and proof of any set-aside certification and provide a contact name, the mailing address, phone number and email address of point of contact. Capability statements must provide enough information to determine if the company can meet the requirement and be no longer than 5 pages excluding set-aside certifications. Capability statements must reference similar work that has been performed by the contractor in the last three (3) years, a description of the work, the dollar value of the work performed, indicate whether you were a prime or subcontracotr and contact information for references knowledgeable about the quality of the work completed.
