Description
Recovery - Informational Purposes Only This notice is provided for informational purposes only. This opportunity is available only to contractors under the GSA Federal Supply Schedule, SIN# 563-4, Roofing Materials, Products and Services. This Request For Quote (RFQ) is for design and construction of an approximately 27,000SF roof replacement for the Federal Archives and Research Center located at 7358 South Pulaski Street in Chicago, IL. It is GSA's intention to create a cool roof environment through the inclusion a high R-value of insulation and a white solar reflective roof surface. The contract will contain work involving: demolition of existing roofing; installation of sheet insulation; installation of roofing membrane as chosen by the contractor; flashing of penetrations; repair of roof drains; and repair of soffits. The existing roof condition appears to be a replacement tern-coated steel system secured with battens over insulation and sloped concrete deck. The existing soffits in question appear to be an exterior insulated finish system where the seams have failed. The project will be designed over the Fall/Winter 2009 and installed Spring 2010. The RFQ cited above can only be obtained by accessing GSA E-Buy, you must be a vendor on the Federal Supply Schedule to download the RFQ. The RFQ will available on GSA E-Buy on or about June, 24, 2009. Also, beginning January 1, 2005, as required by the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) all vendors will be required to use the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) in federal solicitations as a part of the proposal submission. You may access ORCA via the following URL, www.orca.bpn.gov. Potential offerors should refer to the solicitation package regarding instructions involving the use of ORCA. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading the RFQ from e-buy and monitoring the website for amendment(s), if any to the RFQ. All offers are to be submitted to General Services Administration, Attn: Deborah Durkins, 230 S. Dearborn St., Room 3180, Chicago, Illinois 60604. Any questions regarding this notification should be directed to the Contracting Officer whose name appears herein.
