- The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agriculture Research Service, Mid South Area, has a project entitled :"Parking Area Overlay and Striping" at the USDA, ARS, Southern Regional Research Center, New Orleans, LA location. The work includes but is not limited to: Milling of existing pavement to the limits indicated on drawings, overlay of milled surfaces and striping of new pavement as indicated on drawings. The period of performance is 60 calendar days after Notice to Proceed (NTP). This procurement includes a base bid and one add alternate. The magnitude of construction is estimate between $25,000 and $100,000. This solicitation is SET-ASIDE for Total Small Business. The NAICS Code is 237310, with a size standard of $33.5 million. this is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-32. Solicitation No. AG-4431-S-09-0008 is scheduled for release on July 24, 2009, interested contractors are to submit their requests for bid package to: USDA, ARS, MDA, Procurement Office, P. O. Box 225, Stoneville, MS 38776-0225, or fax a request to 662/686-5468 or by email to terry.krutz@ars.usda.gov. The request must include a street mailing address, telephone and fax numbers and email address if available to receive one copy of the solicitation, drawings and specifications. No calls will be accepted. A pre-bid site visit is scheduled for Thursday, August 27, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. CST. Any changes or additional information will be provided in the solicitation package. Bids will be due by 3:00 p.m. CST on August 27, 2009. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded. all responsible businesses may submit an offeror which will be considered by the agency. Contractors are required to register or update their registration at the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) website at www.ccr.gov in order to receive a contract award under this solicitation, and register or update their registration on the Online Representation and Certifications Application website at http://orca.bpn.gov.
