- Description
- The Social Security Administration (SSA) has a requirement for a contractor to provide processing, duplication and distribution of microfilm. SSA anticipates awarding a firm fixed price award with a period of performance consisting of one (1) year. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 561439. Due to security reasons, the contractor must be able to pick up exposed film and hand deliver processed film to Boyers, PA on a weekly basis. This will ensure that only authorized contract personnel handle the film and provide the secure shipping services necessary to minimize the risk of loss. The contractor shall develop exposed silver microfilm supplied by SSA (16 mm document film - medium speed) and furnish all reels and film locks as needed. All masters shall meet the current American National Standards Institute (ANSI) standards for LE500 storage life, including those for film type, handling and processing. This acquisition is being conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, regarding the Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. A Request for Quotation will be issued on or about Monday, July 13th, 2009. The solicitation will be available for downloading from the FedBizOpps website and will be available in electronic format only.
