Description
The Tampa Harbor dredging project includes a Base Bid and four (4) Optional Bid Items. The base bid involves removing approximately 150,000 cubic yards of material from Cut C to a required depth of 43 feet plus an allowable 2-foot overdepth. Option A is to remove approximately 27,000 cubic yards from the Port Sutton Entrance Channel and approximately 20,500 cubic yards from the Port Sutton Turning Basin to a required depth of 43 feet plus an allowable 2-foot overdepth. Option B includes the removal of approximately 11,500 cubic yards from the Sparkman Channel Upper and the removal of approximately 55,000 cubic yards from the Ybor Channel to a required depth of 34 feet plus an allowable 2-foot overdepth. Option C includes the removal of approximately 79,000 cubic yards from the Ybor Channel to a required depth of 34 feet plus an allowable 2-foot overdepth. Option D includes the removal of approximately 45,500 cubic yards from Cut C to a required depth of 43 feet plus an allowable 2-foot overdepth. The material will be disposed of in an upland disposal area (D/A 2-D) located east of Cut-C. This work also includes temporarily blocking off two of the conduits that connect the adjacent cells of the upland disposal area. Magnitude of construction is between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00. This solicitation will be issued on or about 23 July 2009 and open on or about 8 September 2009. THIS IS AN UNRESTRICTED ACQUISITION. There will be a price preference for certified HUBZone small business concerns that comply with the requirements in the solicitation as stipulated in FAR 19.1307. Solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be posted on the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) website at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/.
