- Description
- It is the Government's intention to negotiate on a sole source basis with the Buffalo-Niagara Riverkeeper to provide technical and administrative support to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineer Buffalo District. The Buffalo District is initiating a Reconnaissance-level study for the Niagara River Watershed. The output of this study will be a Scope of Work for a full, cost-shared, Feasibility-level study, including identification of potential cost-share partners and other key stakeholders as well as a Project Management Plan. An initial activity to kick-off the Recon process is a workshop to identify key stakeholders and their priorities and existing efforts. TASKS: (1) with an interest in the Niagara River Watershed Study (2) Plan and conduct a workshop to identify problems and opportunities within the Niagara River Watershed. TASK 1 - Identify key stakeholders and community groups: Contractor will perform outreach activities to identify the stakeholders and community groups with an interest in water resources on the Niagara River. Contractor will communicate with Federal, state and local government agencies and not-for-profit organizations to identify ongoing and planned activities related to the Niagara River Watershed, and those groups with an interest in the study. The agencies and groups identified will be invited to participate in the workshop described below. TASK 2 - Plan and conduct a workshop to identify problems and opportunities within the Niagara River Watershed : Contractor will plan a meeting based on the input received from the outreach activities described in Task 1. Contractor will also be responsible for meeting invitation, facility coordination, agenda preparation an workshop facilitation. Upon completion of the workshop a attendee list and meeting notes will be compiled into a workshop report and provided to the USACE. SCHEDULE: The various products/deliverables shall be delivered on a specific date as indicated in the table below. If for any reason the completion dates cannot be met, The BNRK team shall advise the USACE Niagara River Watershed Study Manager, by telephone and confirm by letter as to the reason for the expected delay. This notification action must be submitted within 10 days prior to the required completion date for each item. A copy of this letter must be attached to Eng Form 93, Final Payment. Stakeholder list: W ill provide a list of Niagara River stakeholders, based on Task 1, to the USACE. Workshop session: W ill conduct the workshop described in Task 2. Final Report: A Final Report will be delivered to the USACE Niagara River Watershed Study Manager.
