FOR MORE INFORMATION PLEASE CONTACT Kevin Kirkwood II, Electronics Engineer, 732-532-0670 DESC: This is a SOURCES SOUGHT MARKET SURVEY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. REQUESTS FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. Any information submitted by respondents to this synopsis is strictly voluntary. This market survey does not constitute a Request for Proposals (RFP) or a request for sealed bids (IFB), nor does its issuance restrict the Government as to its ultimate acquisition approach. The Government will neither award a contract solely on the basis of this notice, nor pay respondents for any information that they submit in response to this Sources Sought request. The United States Army CECOM LCMC is conducting this sources sought market survey to determine price and availability from potential sources capable of fulfilling a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) requirement as follows: This is a market survey to determine price and availability for a Intercom/Outcom System (Minimum quantity of 260ea). The equipment is to consist of the following specs: - Range: 800 meters - Specific band: HF, 2.4GHz, Frequency-Hopping capability - Power/battery requirements: 24 volt battery; 8 hrs battery life required between charges; when mounted inside vehicle, radio will draw power from vehicle battery - Number of Channels Required: 64 - Durability/Life Cycle: 5 years - Compatibility w/another comm system: Must only be compatible with self; mounted vehicle radio (being used as an intercom) must be compatible with same model being used as a mobile walkie-talkie - Mounted on vehicle: Yes, but must be able to be easily removed from mount to be used as a mobile radio Additional Requirements: Customer wants the radios to be able to interoperable with Harris Radio: RF-5800H-V006, 20-Watt HF Vehicular Systems, 200 EA Operator Training Vendor will be required to train 12 Officers (factory training) for an 80 hour period of Operation and Management of the Intercom/Outcom system. This equipment is being used extensively by countries with forces that are deploying to drug interdiction programs and the Global War on Terror.
