- The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) intends to award a Sole Source contract to Lakeshore Learning Materials, 2695 E. Dominguez Street, Carson, CA 90895 in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, circumstances permitting other than full and open competition (See attached Sole Source Justification and Approval for details) for kindergarten classroom kits that consist for furniture and equipment. The kits will be delivered to DoDEA schools throughout the world. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any party that believes it is capable of meeting this requirement as stated herein may submit a written capability statement that clearly supports and demonstrates their ability to perform the requirement by the response date. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This requirement is being solicited in accordance with FAR part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Response Date: 3:00 p.m. EST, 13 July 2009.
