- This is a combined synopsis / solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION DOCUMENT OFFERED. QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This solicitation VA-246-09-RQ-0217 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). Award will be made using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR part 13.5. No telephone requests will be accepted. Only written requests received directly from the requester are acceptable. It is the Offerors responsibility to ensure that the quote is received. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334119. REQUESTERS MUST STATE THEIR BUSINESS SIZE ON EACH REQUEST. This action is unrestricted. If offeror has a FSS/GSA contract, please include it on your offer. See below for a list of items required. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Richmond, Virginia has a requirement for a portable 3D scanning system to be used in a Prosthetic lab. The scanning system should be capable of providing instantaneous real time three dimensional surface images and databases when a low weight handheld laser scanning wand (with the ability to move without being tethered to a mechanical arm) is sweep over an object. The system also needs to have two (2) cameras allowing for more detailed scans in fewer sweeps and the ability to automatically stitch scans together. Finally, the system also needs to be able to provide motion tracking and measurement capabilities. Scanning system shall be same or comparable to the FastSCAN Scorpion portable 3D laser scanning system with RBP and AAOP options available from Polhemus. Delivery is to be made to: Chief, A&MM, VA Medical Center, 1201 Broad Rock blvd, Richmond, VA 23249. Submitted quotations shall include the RFQ number, the proposed unit price, the proposed extended price, any prompt payment discount terms, company name, and point of contact, address, phone number, fax number, tax identification number, DUN number. and business size. Attention: You must be registered in CCR to be considered for award per FAR 52.204-7, Central Contractor Registration (April 2008) (b) (2) the offeror shall provide its DUNS, or if applicable, it's DUNS+4 number with its offer, which will be used by the contracting officer to verify that the offeror is registered in the CCR database.
