- This requirement will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP), fixed price construction effort utilizing commercial procedures and applicable construction clauses. The project includes fencing, automatic gates, personnel gates, underground conduits/wiring, electrical, street lamps, security cameras, fire hydrant and utility relocations, paving, painting parking stalls and other additive and deductive (optional) items. The project involves digging and soil movement at a National Priority List Superfund Site (near potentially contaminated soil), preparing and coordinating encroachment digging permits with Air Force Real Property Agency and utility locating with Underground Service Alert. The magnitude of this project including options is estimated between $250,000 and $500,000. The schedule will be lump sum with separately priced additive or deductive (option) items. The Davis Bacon Act requirements will apply to this project. The location of this project is at Defense Microelectronics Activity (DMEA) located at 4234 54th Street (Bldg 620), McClellan CA 95652. The tentative date set for release of the RFP is 15 July 2009. A site visit will be held at DMEA on 28 July 2009 at 11am. Contractors interested in attending the site visit are requested to send an email to Linda Baustian with the proposed attendees, names, titles, and phone numbers by 27 July 2009. Project completion date is 15 December 2009. The drawing of the area will be released with the solicitation.
