- VISN 22 VA Long Beach Healthcare System, Logistics Office, Long Beach, California intends to solicit quotes to provide Bread and Bread Products for the VA San Diego, VA Loma Linda and VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare Systems. The NAICS Codes is 311812, 500 employees size standard. The procurement will be conducted utilizing FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR PT 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This requirement is subject to the availability of FY09/FY10 funds. Award will be made to the offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be the best value to the Government, price and other factors considered. The Government intends to evaluate offers and award without discussions. However, the Government reserves the right to conduct discussions later if determined necessary by the Contracting Officer. This is a firm fixed price contract. Period of performance is from the date of award on or about October 1, 2009 through September 30, 2010 with two one-year options to extend. The solicitation package will be available on or before 7/17/2009 electronically at http://www.fedbizopps.gov, with offers due on or about 8/10/2009. No fax or telephone requests will be accepted. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments. It is essential for offerors to register on the Solicitation Mailing List for this solicitation to receive notification of any/all amendments. Amendments issued to this solicitation will be available at the above web sites only. Quotations shall be submitted to: Dept. of Veterans Affairs, VA Long Beach Healthcare System (600/NLO/MP), 5901 East 7th Street, Bldg., 149, Long Beach, CA 90822, and directed to the attention of Adriana Garcia. Solicitation number shall be listed on the outside of the responses for identification purposes.
