- RECOVERY ACT: THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY.THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES. The Coatesville VA Medical Center is soliciting bids under Solicitation No VA-244-09-RA-0335 for the following: "RENOVATE PHARMACY" Project No. 542-07-110. Renovation of approximately 5,953 SF of vacant space located in Building #2 on the second floor that will be completely renovated in order to co-locate both the Inpatient/Outpatient Pharmacy and Administration space, expand the area to effectively combine all three areas in a functional and patient friendly environment in accordance with all National Architectural, Electrical, Mechanical and Building Codes, ADA Requirements, Fire / Life Safety, Security Codes, JACHO Compliance and VA Handbook 7610 (268) criteria. An additional 4,582 SF of total square feet located in the Basement of Bldg. 2 will be renovated to house the Active Storage, Receiving / Shipping, Inventory Breakdown, Emergency Dispensing and Administration space. This project will be completed in two phases. Basement construction is not to start until the second floor is 100% complete. The basement will be occupied during the construction of the 2nd floor. The Solicitation documents and drawings will be available for download from the web http://www.bos.oamm.va.gov/http://www.eps.gov/on or about July 24, 2009. Potential bidders are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information. The Government will not provide paper copies of the solicitation. Bidders will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package, drawings, and subsequent amendments, if any. Telephone, written, facsimile, or e-mail requests for the solicitation will NOT be honored. It is essential that interested parties register on the bidders mailing list at http://www.fedbizopps.gov "Interested Vendor List". Individual copies of the Bidder's Mailing List WILL NOT be prepared nor distributed by the Contracting Officer. The solicitation amendments issued to the IFB will be posted to the website and bidders are advised it is their responsibility to obtain and acknowledge all amendments. Paper copies of amendments will NOT be individually mailed. The ONLY Pre-Bid Walk Thru will be held on August 4, 2009, at 1:30 pm, EST. All bidders, suppliers and subcontractors are strongly encouraged to attend Walk Thru. All requests for information or questions regarding the solicitation must be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer via mail or by email: carol.pomraning@va.gov no later than Close of Business, August 10, 2009, at 4:00 pm EST. No telephonic or fax requests will be honored. In accordance with FAR Part 36, the cost range for this procurement is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 and NAICS Code 236220 with a small business size standard of $33.5 million. Bid Opening Date is scheduled for August 26, 2009, at 2 pm EST. All interested contractors must ensure that their firms have the ability to provide 100% Performance and Payment Bonds and a 20% Bid Guarantee. The Government contemplates award of a Firm Fixed Price contract resulting from this solicitation. Award of this contract is subject to the availability of funds. The maximum time for completion of the project is 365 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed.
