Description
RECOVERY SYNOPSIS OF ACQUISITION ACTION RECOVERY - This project will be partially or wholly funded under the American Recovery and Reconstruction Act of 2009 (http://frwebgate.access.gpo.gov/cgi-bin/getdoc.cgi?dbname=111_cong_bills&docid=f:h1enr.pdf). Interested offerors are encouraged to review the required clauses and reporting requirements for projects funded under the Act. These documents can be found in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (http://farsite.hill.af.mil or http://www.acquisition.gov/far), current Federal Acquisition circulars (http://www.arnet.gov/far/fac.html) and at the Recovery.gov website. It is anticipated that the award will be 100% set-aside for competitive HubZone firms as there are two or more qualified offerors under the NAICS code that could offer bids. It is anticipated that the NAICS code will be: 115310, Fire Prevention, Forest with a size standard of: $15.0M The Product Service Code is: Z300 Anticipated Contract Type: Competitive and Firm Fixed Price FBO Product Code: Z This project consists of two phases, slashing and piling as follows: 1. Cutting small diameter trees less than 5 inches dbh (diameter breast height 4-1/2 feet high on uphill side of tree) that were left after harvest of the units and piling the residual slash left from harvesting the stands. 2. Piling 90% of the material that is greater than 2 feet long and less than 3 inches in diameter; piles must be at least 6 feet tall and 8 feet in diameter and oriented in piles on one direction, not "tepee" shaped. Materials larger than 3 inches in diameter and less than 2 feet long can be left scattered at the sites fdor regeneration purposes. Note that a topographic map identifying the eight (8) work place sites will be included in the solicitation.
