Description
The purpose of this amendment is to display questions and answers publicly: 1. Is it possible to delay the due date by one week? Due to time constraints we cannot consider extending the due date at this time. I will send your questions to the end-user for a response to the rest of your questions. 2. From what is written in this solicitation, it appears that the 2500 foot distribution system is not a circulating piping system. Does the water leave the existing system and recirculate back to the existing system to keep polishing the water quality? If the piping loop is a dead leg system, it will be hard to maintain water quality at the outlets. Answer The DI water distribution system is indeed a "loop", as stated in the original request. The system is designed to loop the water back to the purification system for repolishing. 3. No where does it say what the flow rate for the distribution pump is. What flow rate? The RO machine is capable of supplying 35 L/HR per line item 4.d. Answer The purification apparatus should NOT directly feed into the DI water loop, but into the storage tank. From the storage tank, the distribution pump should be capable of maintaining a water pressure of 2-6 bar. Basic attributes of a DI water distribution system is that the flow rate MUST be > 2 m/s to prevent microbial growth.
